DESCRIPTION

The Kiwanis Club of the Chathams, chartered on August 7, 1930, is one of over 8400 Kiwanis clubs worldwide in 96 nations and geographic areas.  There are nearly 280,000 members of Kiwanis International.

Our Club membership includes approximately 45 men and women of business, professional and retired status. It is their desire to serve the community that brings them together. Membership is open by invitation to people interested in committing time and energy to community service. Most members live or work in Chatham Borough, Chatham Township, Madison, Florham Park and other towns in the area.

PROJECTS

We sponsor five groups to help our youth mature into caring and concerned adults. The groups are: Madison High School Key Club, Chatham High School Key Club, ECLC of New Jersey Key Club;  Chatham Middle School Builders Club and St. Patrick's Middle School Builders Club. Funds to support these and other worthy causes are raised by the club.  Our club also sponsors the Circle-K service club at Drew University in Madison. We support the Chatham Rescue Squad, Library of the Chathams, Chatham Senior Center, and other community institutions (see Club Activities).

MEETINGS

Luncheon meetings are held twice a month to coordinate club activities, build friendships and enjoy programs of community and personal interests.  Guests are always cordially welcome to regular Tuesday meetings.  Meetings locations and times are shown in the header of the home page of this web site.
